Just like seeds, people need the right nutrients to grow to

their full potential. That’s why we’ve created programs that

holistically lift up our clients and community by addressing

health, education, and access challenges through urban

gardening and greenhouses.

The On-Site Gardening

program at U&I's Dallas campus supports life skills for clients and provides nutrition and emotional support through interactivity with the garden and each other. The nutritious food our clients produce for themselves and our pantry services are invaluable.

In this enriching program, horticultural education combines with social and therapeutic work to promote an enjoyment of the outdoors, self-sufficiency, and healthy food choices. Through GreenHouse for Good, clients explore the joys of the look, smell and taste of self-harvested fruits and vegetables.
