Lakeydra Houston, U&I Veterans Employment Specialist, is a passionate sexual assault advocate and dedicated veteran resource specialist who bridges the gap between trauma and healing. With a profound commitment to empowering survivors and supporting veterans, her mission is to provide comprehensive guidance, resources, and unwavering advocacy to those who have bravely served our country and for those who have experienced the trauma of sexual assault. As the founder of K.E.Y Fit LLC and Voices We Stand, Lakeydra raises awareness, offers resources, and inspires change for survivors of sexual trauma. She has appeared on CBS, Dateline NBC, and various other media outlets sharing her story and advocating for justice. Lakeydra retired from the US Air Force and Space Force after 20 years of service and sacrifice. She actively volunteers with Operation Tiny House in support of capacity building for veterans in the Dallas area. She also engages with the Dallas Area Rape Crisis Center, National Crime Victim Law Institute, and Pink Berets as a sexual assault advocate. Through commitment, resilience, and dedication, Lakeydra has contributed over 700 volunteer hours since retirement and has earned the Gold Presidential Volunteer Service Award.
